Ilya van Marle is a professional photographer in The Netherlands. Based in The Hague, photographer Ilya van Marle specializes in shooting people and capturing personality. Photographer Ilya van Marle travels and shoots all over the world. There are no between his portrait photography, corporate photography and commercial photography.


Ilya van Marle’s slogan ‘I shoot people’ says it all, he focuses on people. His work is communicative and leads to action and interaction. Creative use of light and environment contributes to a recognizable and personal style.

Ilya van Marle has a background in advertisement photography and film. His audiovisual productions are produced by the Dutch collective De Lichtjagers. As a portrait photographer, he works mostly in for-profit and non-profit organizations. 
His work gets published in corporate and public magazines, brochures, annual reports, on websites, in add campaigns etcetera.


Ilya van Marle works primarily for major clients. Large companies and organizations, multinationals and government agencies. Either directly or in cooperation with public relations or advertising agencies. In short, he likes to work with and for company directors and journalists.


Ilya van Marle’s prefers to work on location. Distances or boundaries have never put limits on his work area.

The Hague photographer

The seat of the Dutch government is in The Hague. Photographer Ilya van Marle has been located here since 1994 and has worked for most of the government agencies. 
In recent years, the Hague has become the world capital of international justice. Ilya van Marle has been commissioned by several international organizations that have a close relationship with peace and human rights. His publication “People in Human Rights” was awarded a Zilveren Camera and has been published worldwide.
